SARADAPURI
Saradapuri is a tribal village located to the north of Bapatla. It was badly damaged in the 1977 cyclone. The devastating cyclone which hit the coastal Andhra Pradesh on 19 November, 1977 not only wiped out the village but also killed 22 people.
One hundred houses were constructed in the village. A cyclone shelter and a Temple for the deity "Poleramma" were constructed. The foundation stone of the temple was laid by (Late) Revered Swami Nandanandaji Maharaj and the village was opened and the idol in the temple was installed by (Late) Revered Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj. The temple is now painted. Here are some images.
